Imagine you open your window and see a dangerous animal lurking outside. The situation would be alarming. Right? A woman in Poland had a similar experience after she spotted an unidentified creature on a tree. However, what happened next is quite amusing. The Krakow Animal Welfare Society took to their Facebook page to spill out the details about the incident.

Officer Adam of The Krakow Animal Welfare Society received a woman's call recently explaining that she had found an unusual animal lurking in a tree. The incident took place in Krakow, a city in Poland. She told the officer that a creature was sitting on a tree's branch. She added that people were not even opening windows, fearing it might come inside their homes.

THE TRUTH BEHIND THE UNUSUAL ANIMAL

According to the Facebook post, Officer Adam continued the conversation, asking for more details. He tried to guess whether it could be a sick bird, but the woman denied it. She tried hard to think of the right word for it and came close to calling it a lagun - Polish for lagoon. The officer was confused if she possibly meant a Legwan or Iguana. But he was baffled as to how an iguana could survive in the cold.

Divulging further details, he added in the post that many times people abandon their pets. He figured that this could be a similar case. The team headed to the given address. With some difficulty, they eventually found the tree the woman was mentioning.

To the officer's surprise, the brown creature was on a lilac branch and wasn't moving, not even a bit. To their horror, they noticed, it had no legs or head. And the first conclusion was that it might be a headless beast. Or was it?

This mysterious Legwan, as the lady thought of it, was indeed a croissant. You read that correctly.
