The fresh round of talks between protesting farmer unions and three central ministers on Friday failed to reach a consensus in the over-a-month-long stalemate over the new farm laws.
In the fresh round of talks on Friday, the government said "won't and can't" repeal the agricultural reforms while the farmer leaders continued to press for the withdrawal of the three farm laws.
The next round of meeting between Centre and farmer leaders will take place on January 15.
