JKBOSE Class 10 exams cancelled, Class 12 postponed

JKBOSE Class 10 exams have been cancelled, while Class 12, Jammu University exams have been postponed amid the Covid-19 situation. Also, all educational institutions will remain closed till April 30, 2021.

Hours after India Today reported that how social distancing norms were being violated outside exam centres in Jammu, J&K administration and J&K Board of School Education have decided to cancel remaining exams of Class 10 and postponement of remaining papers of Class 12. Moreover, all schools and coaching/tuition centres have been shut till April 30, 2021,

"Jammu and Kashmir Government has decided to cancel ongoing class 10 exams and postpone Class 12 exams of the remaining subjects," Lt. Governor General of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha informed.

How will Class 10 students get promoted in Jammu and Kashmir?

"JKBOSE Class 10 ongoing exams for the remaining subjects have been cancelled. The students will be promoted to Class 11 on the basis of their performance in subjects already undertaken in the present exams and internal assessment," he said.

Jammu and Kashmir Class 12 students will have to wait for a month until the government review how to mark students.

Jammu University exams postponed

Except for MBBS, BDS and BAMS exams, Jammu University has postponed all exams till April 20 due to the second wave of Covid-19.
