Haryana Schools to remain shut till November 31

Haryana schools will remain shut till November 30 as more than 180 government schools students have tested Covid-19 positive in the state. The Haryana education department decided to shut the schools in the state on Friday.

The government authorities will ensure that the schools are sanitised. The government has collected the samples from the students from Sonepat, Fatehabad and Bhiwani, Jind, Jhajjar and several other districts.

Haryana students tested Covid-19 positive in these regions: Rewari, Jhajjar, Jind, Hisar and Rohtak districts so far.

Why did Haryana government reopen schools?

Like other states, the Haryana government too had decided to reopen schools after November 2 as there was a decline in number of Covid-19 cases in September and early October.
